I am totally convinced that my strong accent sounds exiciting for some foreigners and it will give a sense of humour to this text. Be aware, lexical chunks are all over the place and they can cause a terrible accident to your literal translations!! As you may have noticed, lexical chunks are pairs or groups of words usually found together and fixed in the language. According to the British Council, collocations are types of lexical chunks which combine pairs of content words, that is to say, they are not made up by words with grammar function as the preposition 'at' would act in 'look at'. Lexical chunks are studied from the lexical approach proposed by Michael Lewis (1993) and they are important for achieving natural and native fluency, so including them in our lesson plan would give a boost to our students' foreign language skills.
