Game Based Learning

This week we've been looking into Game based learning and its differences with play and gamification. While play is voluntary and looks for fun, game based learning and gamification are imposed by the teacher and their main objective is learning. Moreover, wining and losing are not an objective of the activity. Although next week we will dig a bit more into gamification, the key difference between them is that game based learning uses new games or games that already exit with a learning purpose.

To this aim, we have been asked to write a lesson plan adapting a game for a lesson. I've decided to choose Codenames as it has been one of the most played games of my summer and I think we can make a lot of uses of it. Read more about my lesson plan below.
